Huallepen are amphibious creatures from Chile. One interesting note is that the Huallepen is found in many lakes and rivers, not just one, unlike most freshwater aquatic cryptids. The Huallepen is the focus of many native legend, including one that says pregnant women who see the cryptid have deformed children.

Appearance/Description[]

The Huallepen has the head of a calf attached to the body of a shorn sheep, with short front legs and a back end that resembles a seal. While shy and almost harmless on land, the Huallepen is vicious and deadly in the water.

Theories/Explanations[]

The Huallepen is thought to be related to seals, which would explain both its appearance and its amphibious tendency.
