The Tasmanian Wolf, otherwise known as the Tasmanian Tiger or Thylacine, is a now extinct marsupial. The last known specimen died in the 1930s at the Hobart Zoo.Soon after, the species was officially acknowledged as extinct in the wild. However, sightings kept coming in of this creature, not just from Tasmania, but from mainland Australia and Papau New Guinea as well.

Appearance & Description[]

The Tasmanian Tiger is the rough size and shape of a dog. However, there are stripes running down its back.

Theories/Explanation[]

The modern Tasmanian Tiger is thought to be a surviving specimen of the now-extinct creature of the same name.
